Contact a Few Owners
After you find a home you want to stay in, contact the owner using the secure Swypee Houses messaging system. if they are interested in your place as well. You go to their place and they come to yours.
Start Swapping
When all is agreed, use the online Swype Houses Home Exchange Agreement Form to confirm your exchange and start Swype. Enjoy your holiday is as simple as that.
What about my staff?
Just clear some space in the house. Lock any valuables away. Leave your guest some empty chest wardrobe and drawers . Swapping is about opening up and sharing your home.
How do we exchange keys?
Leave them with a neighbour, friend or family member or install a key safe and give your guest the code. Even you can use a key exchange service you can find a right providers.

The first step is to add your home to Swype Houses Click here to login and register.After you able to add your Listings
Once you have added your home to the site (make sure to include a good description and photos of your home and location) you can then start contacting other Swype Houses members to discuss a potential swap. Go to the Listing page to browse the latest offers.
- Be proactive: when arranging a home swap it is important to be as proactive as possible and start contacting members with initial enquiry messages rather than just sitting back and waiting for people to contact you. Many experienced home swappers will contact 20 or more members with their initial 'feeler' messages before narrowing it down to suitable swap matches.
- Be flexible: if possible, be flexible with your travel dates and destinations. Part of the fun of home exchange is discovering exciting exchange offers in places you may not have considered visiting before.
Allow plenty of time: it's important to give yourself plenty of time to find, agree and arrange your home exchanges. Start looking early!
Reply to all messages: as home exchanging is built on trust, it is very important to reply to all messages you receive, even if just to say "Thank you for your offer but I'm sorry I cannot take it up. Good luck with finding your home swap!".

Clean and declutter: prior to your home swap, make sure you give your home a good clean so that its ready and welcoming for your guests. Clear space in your fridge and also make room in your wardrobe so that there is space for your guests to hang their clothes. Leave plenty of clean towels and extra bedding.
Leave basic provisions: you don't have to go grocery shopping, but it's nice to have staples like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, cereal, toilet rolls and washing up liquid on hand to help your guests settle in while they figure out the lay of the land.
Key exchange: decide how you will exchanges keys well in advance. Some members send copies of their keys by recorded mail, some members have a friend or neighbour meet their exchange partners to hand them the keys on their arrival, some members use special key transfer services and some members even choose to install passcode safety boxes outside their homes to store their keys (don't forget to give your home swap partners the passcode!).
Pet care: if your exchange partners have agreed to look after pets, leave an adequate supply of food.
Leave a gift for your guests: start the swap on a great note by going that extra mile to welcome your guests with a kind gesture. How about some fresh flowers with a welcome card, a nice bottle of wine or maybe a nice locally produced treat?
